hoar frost, shadows, paper cut outs in late autumn wetland.
from wikipedia: Radiation frost (also called hoar frost or hoarfrost) refers to the white ice crystals, loosely deposited on the ground or exposed objects, that form on cold clear nights when heat losses into the open skies cause objects to become colder than the surrounding air.

My collage piece using a vintage fabric pattern cut out + gold leaf is available as a part of the ecoartspace benefit exhibition that was on display in NYC at Exit Art in April 2010. Follow this link to see my piece plus lots of other groovy art.

wrapping and unwrapping aspen stand. used yarn to sparsely wrap an interesting group of aspen that were clustered in a circular pattern- like they were growing out of a shared center. with this post, i'm playing with showing the process of making. so much of the work is about the process. wrapping and unwrapping the stand took about 20 mins. it had a meditative feel. great to listen to the wind blowing through the trees and the chatter of the magpies.
